Since the year 2000, Sanders has been travelling throughout China, documenting the lives of Chinese Muslims. He has travelled from east to west and north to south and has produced a rare picture of unseen communities throughout the whole of China, showing the progression through Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism and Islam, spiritually and culturally.
